Amy started paddling in 2010 and quickly became engrossed in the sport. She started using SUP as her primary exercise method during the summer months and has since extended her SUP workouts into the winter.  Amy has participated in several local stand up paddle race events and in 2011 paddled 34 miles from Plymouth to Wellfleet for the Cape Cod Bay Challenge raising over $1,500 in support of Christopher's Haven.  She loves to explore different bodies of water during her SUP workouts and has gotten to know the local Cape Cod waters and weather patterns very well.

Amy received her 200 hour yoga teacher training certification in 2009 and decided to try mixing yoga with SUP.  It turns out that stand up paddle boards are the perfect floating yoga mat and provide enough stability so that SUP yoga can be accessible to just about anybody.  Amy began teaching private and group lessons, eco-tours, and SUP yoga classes in 2011.  She is also a registered physical therapist, actively practicing for over 15 years which gives her a keen eye for proper body movement patterns and paddle stroke technique. Those individuals with prior back injuries looking to find a unique and truly fun way to keep their back healthy need to look no further!
