Stand Up Paddle Guide
Certified Yoga Instructor
Registered Physical Therapist
Amy's passion for all things water brought her to discover and fall in love with stand up paddle boarding (SUP) in 2010. After learning to stand up paddle board she decided to try mixing yoga
with SUP. It turns out that stand up paddle boards are the perfect
floating yoga mat and provide enough stability so that SUP yoga can be
accessible to just about anybody. She started teaching lessons and SUP yoga for local surf shops and in the summer of 2012 Amy founded Peace Love SUP with the intention of
combining fitness and fun in a safe and nurturing environment on the
beautiful waters of Cape Cod.
Amy participates in stand up paddle race events around New England and loves to explore different bodies of water during her paddle workouts which has allowed her to get to know the local Cape Cod waters and weather patterns very well. She is CPR certified and has been trained in boating safety so you can rest assured that you will be well taken care of while on the water and that your safety takes priority.
Amy received her 200 hour yoga teacher training certification in 2009
where she began teaching in the community and at her gym, Crossfit Cape
Cod as well as implementing yoga into her practice as a physical
therapist. Amy has been practicing as a registered physical therapist since 1996 and has a keen eye for proper body mechanics, movement patterns and paddle stroke technique. Those individuals with prior injuries looking to find a unique and truly fun way to keep healthy need to look no further!
